Kurzvita
My B.A. in Jewish Studies and History (University Potsdam) and my M.A. in Modern European History (Humboldt University Berlin) led to a Ph.D. project in German-Jewish History I am currently finishing.
I was a fellow of the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich fellowship program, the Max Weber Foundation and worked at the chair for "German History in the 20th century with focus on National Socialism" at the Humboldt-University (Berlin).
I research the topics of home ("Heimat"), belonging ("Zugehörigkeit") and conservative politics in the German-Jewish youth movement in Weimar and Nazi Germany. The focal point is an organization called "Schwarzes Fähnlein" with prominent members like Werner T. Angress, Walter Z. Laqueur, Paul Yogi Mayer and Guy Stern.
