Profile

As a PhD student in social and economic history, I am studying the history of banks and European integration. During my bachelor’s and master’s studies at the University of Göttingen, I was interested in business history, especially marketing history, conflict history, and the history of bankruptcy during the 20th century from a transatlantic perspective. My current research project examines the role of banks in European integration from 1957 to 1995. The project, which started in September 2021, is supervised by Heike Wieters and Alexander Nützenadel as part of the Graduate school Europa als Gewinn. It is funded by the Stiftung Bildung und Wissenschaft.

Areas of Research

Economic, social, and financial history in 20th century Europe.  Financial markets and banks. History of European integration after 1945. History of globalization.
