Course Advisory Services office hours:

Tuesdays 1:30 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Thursdays 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Here, you will be supported with the following, among other things:

  • questions regarding the understanding of the IfG Study and Examination Regulations as well as regarding the legal and statutory texts relevant to teaching and studies (BerlHG, ZSP, etc.)
  • recognition of credits
  • general questions regarding teaching and studying at IfG
  • questions regarding the administration, organisation and implementation of IfG degree programmes



The duties of the IfG department and teaching coordinators / Course advisors include but are not limited to: 

Department coordinators: 

  • assisting the managing director
  • human resources management
  • compiling, evaluating and maintenance departmental statistics
  • collaborating with the Departmental Board

Teaching coordinators: 

  • organising teaching schedules and compiling detailed course catalogue (KVV)

  • planning and managing the appointment of teaching staff

  • managing the tutoring programme

  • evaluation / accreditation

  • developing and updating study and examination regulations

  • advising the teaching staff on all issues relating to teaching and studies

  • IfG AGNES and MOODLE advisors

  • collaborating with the departmental Teaching and Studies Committee (KLS)

Course advisors: 

  • course advisory services for all IfG degree programmes (currently 15 programmes)
  • recognising credits and examinations
  • assigning students to a more advanced semester of study
  • collaborating with the Examination Board, the Faculty’s Dean of Studies, the Erasmus advisor and the Departmental Student Union
  • Erasmus and international students (since 1 January 2019)
