Early Career Travel Grants from the NFDI4Memory Task Area “Data Culture”

Travel grants for master's students or graduates and doctoral candidates

The NFDI4Memory Task Area “Data Culture” is pleased to announce that it is once again offering Early Career Travel Grants (ECTGs)! Starting in 2026, the call for applications will take place twice a year, with submission deadlines on February 1 and September 1. If you are a doctoral candidate, master's student, or graduate and your work to date has been closely related to topics in digital historical humanities, we warmly encourage you to apply.

The ECTG enables early-career researchers in the field of digital historical humanities to participate in digital history (and digital humanities) events. The aim of the funding is to support early-career researchers in networking with the digital history and digital humanities community and to promote their research projects.

Researchers based in Germany can participate in events worldwide. For researchers based outside Germany, participation in events within Germany is supported.
