Carl Erdmann award for Felix Römer
This year, the Association of Historians of Germany honors Felix Römer for his habilitation in contemporary history "Inequality Knowledge. The Making of the Numbers about the Gap between Rich and Poor in Contemporary Britain" with the Carl Erdmann Prize. The award-winning study examines how statistical knowledge or ignorance has influenced social debates about economic inequality in Britain. The Carl Erdmann Prize, worth 6000 euros, has been awarded every two years since 2012 for outstanding postdoctoral theses in the overall field of historical studies. The award will be presented at this year's Historikertag in Leipzig on September 21, 2023.
