International
The international orientation is a core element of study, teaching, and research at the Institute of History (IfG). The IfG currently maintains cooperation agreements with history institutes at 53 universities in 23 countries in order to ensure international exchange and the mobility of students and teachers. At our institute, history in all epochs is pursued with a European perspective; Europe is viewed as part of a heterogeneous, but intricately interwoven world. Along with Master’s programmes in European History and Global History we also offer two English-language Joint Master's programmes. The first involves cooperation with leading history institutes in nine European capitals; the second collaboration with our partners at Freie Universität and other research institutions at HU. Strategic cooperation and partnerships are particularly important to the international profile of our institute.
